A journey through time

The Valentin Leflaive story has its roots in the history of the Leflaive family, which has been guided for several centuries by a love for Chardonnay and good craftsmanship. Writing today a new page in the family saga, this time involving an exceptional champagne.

A taste for risk

Daring to take risks is practically the trademark of Olivier Leflaive.  When he opened his first guest house in Burgundy, he received the first National Wine Tourism Award, plus the Pionner Terre de Vins Award.

Off the beaten track

Like a bold expedition, making a great champagne involves various stages and stopovers. Achieving this meant leaving one’s comfort zone, facing challenges, sometimes going beyond to embark on yet another family adventure.

A journey of initiation

Valentin Leflaive began its journey of initiation in 2015. It involved a new kind of freedom, leaving Puligny-Montrachet and the wine house’s historical base for Avize on the prestigious Côte des Blancs. In 2020, Valentin Leflaive obtains his approval (Négociant Manipulant) and settles in his brand new winery in Oger.
